Port Extension and Environment

The port expansion requires work that will impact the natural environment of Saint Martin. To mitigate this impact, an assessment is is underway.
The "MERCI-Cor" method recommended by the Ministry of Ecological Transition should be implemented. The method provides scientifically robust estimates of ecological losses. These losses will then be compensated by adapted and dimensioned measures, in order to allow a repair of the impacted natural ecosystems, equivalent qualitatively and quantitatively to the losses generated by the project.
